SJFA – ‘One Team’ Social Responsibility Programme – SJFA SRP

Whilst providing our community with the platform of a football club is the core element and focus of SJFA’s raison d’être, it also includes the opportunity to instil, convey, share, and implement the true message of our ethos and principles.

Our interaction has spread across the society stratum connecting us with various backgrounds, faiths, cultures, abilities, and talents paving way for new and exciting relationships. In particular, this is making a massively positive impact on the younger generation and children with regards to their level of respect and understanding of other cultures and communities, creating and nurturing ambassadors from an early age.

SJFA is also advocating relationships and partnerships with organisations in the wider society where we can contribute and engage our resources with the aim to shoulder our social responsibility, locally and globally alike.

This principle and philosophy is also aligned with other major football clubs and institutions including the highest authorities like The FA (http://www.thefa.com/news/2015/jan/01/the-football-association-and-social-responsibility) and UEFA (http://www.uefa.com/insideuefa/social-responsibility/).

The “ONE TEAM” core theme of this term is expanding its boundaries and parametres to include the wider society where the aspiration is to contribute towards projects across the spectrum. The advancement of this venture will require active engagement from the internal ONE TEAM – Management, Coaches, Players, and Parents.

Having actively supported Iraqi Orphans in Diwaniya, SJFA is now formalising this section of its portfolio. On the blessed event of Eid –e-Mubahila (24 Dhu Al Hijjah 1438 / 15 September 2017) SJFA has the honour of launching the SJFA ‘ONE TEAM’ Social Responsibility Programme (SJFA SRP).

The launch of SJFA SRP also marks the beginning of our partnership with Sufra – NW London (http://www.sufra-nwlondon.org.uk/), a Community Food Bank & Kitchen which aims to support disadvantaged families suffering food poverty in the local area. A plan with various activities engaging the SJFA family has been compiled which will be communicated and delivered during the course of the season.

SJFA will keep the family abreast of ongoing and new initiatives and in parallel we welcome ongoing ideas and suggestions.
