Jamil is a coach of tier 1 and enjoys working with the young kids. If he hadn’t had a career ending ACL injury whilst playing football, he would have been playing for the club he supports – Liverpool and made sure Gerard never slipped against Chelsea.
Football is my passion and love playing coaching and watching. Have been coaching externally for the last 2 years and am looking forward to joining a vibrant team to propel SJFA to even greater heights. Fully fledged Mancunian, love Utd.
Absolute privilege to be coaching our budding footballers. Although coaching involves facilitation of fun and self-development, being in a community domain requires the role to also be a carer, guide, guardian and an example. I’m very passionate about the tactical side of football and encouraging players to improve every aspect of their game.

Father of two, proud to be part of the SJFA. Committed to coaching, competition and player development.

I love our community and our community projects. Managing Tier 3 for SJFA is another way for me to give back.
I like my teams to be very competitive and confident, but at the same time humble in victory and gracious in defeat.
My training motto: we back our skills, no matter who the opposition.
Having conquered the Fantasy League world, I’ve now become a qualified football coach who is committed to the development of the players, both in football and socially.
With hard work and dedication, I plan to deliver a fun and successful journey for all!
Team: Manchester Utd
Vision for SJ kids: Just to come and play and enjoy themselves. If we can win some trophies or medals along the way, then that’s a bonus. Emphasis on enjoyment.
When I first came to this country in 1983 we didn’t really have a community, as the mosque was far and people lived all over the city.
Over the years, there was an effort made by one man to bring kids together through football. He had designated areas where you could go and get a lift to Brunel University (our equivalent to The Hive), where we all played together. Slowly we made friendships, and those friendships are still in place 30 years later. So if one man could do this, then imagine what a team of people i.e. SJ can do for all.
“Rome wasn’t built in a day, but I wasn’t on that particular job!”
Giving back to the community through my passion for football. Bleed Arsenal red right down to the bone.
Hands on leader enjoying every aspect of coaching from drills and man-management to matches. Focused on making training an enjoyable yet beneficial experience to all involved regardless of ability.
Football Team: Manchester United
Glad to have taken on the role of player-coach, having been involved with the playing side of SJFA for a number of years.
SJFA has come a long way in the recent past – and I want to help propel it forward further by helping develop the players – both technically and with their love of the game.
“Inside you must believe that you are the best player. Outside you must learn from others every single day.”
Favourite Player: Paul Ince
Under the stewardship of Uncle Mo as the manager, you can hear him a mile away when he is coaching and roaring the boys on and is very thankful for this opportunity which is an honour and a real joy.
The best part of coaching is the rapport and lifelong bonds you build with the players on and off the football pitch.
Hard work and a positive attitude is key to success.
Coaching United for over 30 years from my armchair. Always promoting positive community growth.
Passionate about football

My philosopy is simple. If God had meant football to be played in the air he would have put grass in the sky.
Shabbar is a new addition to the SJFA coaching family for 2017. Having grown up in South London supporting his beloved Crystal Palace, Shabbar has a great understanding of how the beautiful game should not be played! His aim is to develop players from our community in reaching their maximum potential, whilst enjoying the fruits of teamwork and community interaction.
I believe that players of all abilities have the capacity to fulfil their potential by working hard and focusing on the technical aspect of the game. The coaching sessions I run echo this.
