Hassan Merali Dewji
Husayn Yahya Merali
Jameel Walji (GK)

Team A Match Report:
From the word go, there was loads of communication between the team and they found their rhythm.
First half of the game was evenly tied until just before the break when Belmont went ahead.
At the start of the second half the team pressed hard and there were a few glimmers of hope with some intricate passing but it was one pass that undid the defence and Belmont were 2-0 up.
The boys didn’t lose any hope and through the persistence, Hassan Chuzi grabbed a goal back.
Time and time again the boys were jeering their team members on and with a clever cross from Ali Hadi Govani from the right saw the Belmont team concede a free kick from a hand ball. True to form we regrouped faster than the oppositions and Hassan Chuzi placed the ball and took the free kick. There was only one place that was best placed for it to rest which was at the back of the net and the final whistle blew
Score: SJFA 2 – Belmont 2.
As echoed by other tier Managers, the experience for our boys in these friendly games is invaluable Here is what we learned:
* We have a very talented tier
* We have parents that have great commitment
* We can raise teams for fixtures
* We impressed the other teams’ coaches and they want to play us again
* We can compete with (and inshallah beat) any opposition
* We need to work on finishing games and ‘seeing them out’
A huge thanks goes to the coordinators and the opposition to host us. Thanks goes to the parents too for taking the time out and supporting the children come rain or shine, mostly rain.
On behalf of Fuad Musa.
