It was a cold Saturday morning and we had played this team last week and lost. We were hesitant and nervous, but we were ready to redeem ourselves. The opposition kicked off for the first half. The match started, we played extremely well but they scored in the first half.

We did not let that get to us so in the second half we were determined to come back. Luckily we had Mahdi Ladha who scored to equalise. He dribbled through their team and placed it perfectly into the goal. We tried to keep the score even but unfortunately in the last 5 minutes they scored. This was a cup game so if we win, we would make it to the semi-finals. It was the final minutes of the game and we got an amazing goal from Zaamin Valjy who tackled their player in the box and smashed it into the back of the net. This lifted the whole team. We were back in the game, and the opposition were on the backfoot. We did not manage to capitalise on this and the match ended 2-2 and went to penalties.

The penalties started; our first taker was Abbas Datoo who scored despite the amount of pressure that comes with being the first penalty taker. Then Muhammad Zain made an excellent save. Next penalty taker was Mahdi Ladha, whose penalty went into the back of the net. After that was Ammar Jetha who also scored an amazing penalty. Muhammad-Zayn made the most amazing final save. We were extremely happy with the win and we worked very hard practicing and learning from our mistakes as a team. We are looking forward to some more wins in the future.

A special thank you from the squad to Mazharali Uncle, our manager on the day, and Hasnain Doni Uncle and our coaches for their hard work for our first win in the league.
